🚨 SCAM ALERT – Please Stay Vigilant! 🚨
Today, a customer visited our Bills Payment Center to claim or cash out what she believed was a GCash transfer. She showed us the screenshot below as proof of payment.
Upon checking, we immediately noticed several red flags:
❌ The message says the recipient must deposit ₱500 first before the money can be received. Legitimate GCash transactions never require you to pay first to receive funds.
❌ The recipient's name is written incorrectly and inconsistently with unusual capitalization.
❌ The message contains poor grammar and suspicious instructions, which are common signs of fraudulent messages.
Please remember:
✅ Always verify transactions directly in your official GCash app.
✅ Never send money or pay any "processing," "conversion," or "release" fee just to receive funds.
✅ If something seems suspicious, ask a trusted payment center or contact GCash Support before taking any action.
