PINOY FAMILY COMES HOME TO ANUVA
Manila Bulletin, May 7, 2013
Coming home to one’s homeland after living abroad for some time is a big decision that needs a new house ideal for another “new beginning.”
In 2010, after having lived in the US for a number of years, the family of Annalyne Avendanio decided to come home to the Philippines for good. Being a businesswoman, she capitalized on her entrepreneurial skills to seize opportunities in the Philippines and to build a network in the country anew.
It wasn’t easy finding a new residence in Metro Manila, with her family used to a single-detached home with many rooms in the States.
“Since we moved back here, we’ve been living in a condo which was a big shock to my kids. Imagine, from a six-bedroom house, we all had to fit in a 42 sqm condo,” she said.
Like most other home seekers, Avendanio wanted many nice things in a new family house, but especially space. However, in the metro, space has become such a rarity that it has driven up the cost of land in prime districts like Makati, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, and Quezon City.
“We tried to find a bigger condo, and got an 84 sqm unit, but we were still not satisfied because of the layout,” she added.
For some time, they experienced staying in different condominiums without finding a good mix of familiar comfort and innovative living concepts, convenience and exclusivity, and quality and value. Finally, Avendanio came across SOC Land’s debut residential project, Anuva. The 2.4-hectare residential development is located in the south of Metro Manila, near Sucat Interchange in Muntinlupa, a few minutes from Makati and Alabang.
