: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of all classes in all levels in public and private schools on Friday, August 28, 2026, due to inclement weather brought about by the southwest monsoon (habagat) enhanced by a typhoon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

According to the MCDRRMD, light to moderate rainfall, at times heavy, is expected from morning through noon, with chances of heavy to very heavy rainfall increasing in the afternoon through Saturday.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

What is TDP?

TDP is a subsidy to support at least the partial cost of tertiary education, inclusive of education-related expenses of the Filipino students enrolled in SUCs, CHED-Recognized LUCs, and Private Higher Education Institutions.

BENEFITS OF TDP

➡️ Php 7,500.00 per semester or Php 15,000.00 per academic year

**Starting 2026-2027, the TDP grant will be provided on a per-semester basis, subject to the availability of funds and CHED's budget allocation.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

☑️ Must be a Filipino Citizen

☑️ Must be enrolled at PUP for the 1st Semester AY 2026-2027

☑️ NOT a recipient of other CHED Scholarships like Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES), CHED Scholarship Programs (CSPs), DOST Scholarship, or any national government-funded StuFAPs except FHE and AICs;

☑️ NO existing scholarship or financial assistance

☑️Willing and available to submit HARD COPIES of requirements to the PUP Main Campus IF approved.

✅PUP SIS-generated copy of the Certificate of Registration or Registration Form for the 1st Semester AY 2026-2027. (Please do not upload documents other than the COR/Registration Form. Applicants who submit other documents will be automatically removed from the applicant list.)

✅Original Certificate of Indigency with dry seal-Scholarship purpose. (Please ensure that the address stated in the TDP Application Form matches the address declared in the Barangay Indigency.)

*In cases only when the Certificate of Indigency cannot be secured, the applicant may submit either:
* Certificate of Tax Exemption
* Social Case Study issued by a registered Social Worker

BENEFITS:
P20,000.00 per semester

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a Filipino citizen;

2. Must be 3rd year or 4th year student;

3. Must have obtained a general weighted average of at least "2.00" and no grade lower than "2.25" in any subject in the semester immediately preceding the application;

4. Must belong to a family whose joint family income is not higher than Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (P250,000.00);

5. Must pass the final interview conducted by the designated officials of the GRANTOR and PUP;

6. Must carry the regular load prescribed in the curriculum;

7. Must not be a working student;

8. Must be of good moral character;

9. Must be physically fit; and

10. Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Copy of Grades;

2. Current Registration Card;

3. Parent's or Guardian's ITR or Certificate of Indigency from Barangay indicated as permanent address or Certificate of Non- Payment of ITR;

4. Application Form (scan the QR code); and

5. Willing to be interviewed by OSFA and for final interview by the benefactor.

✏️You may claim your check at CHED NCR Office, located at Quezon City University Compound, Philippine Metal Casting Assoc. Inc. Building, 673 Quirino Highway, San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City, Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM only. Closed on weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

✏️Please bring the following documents when claiming your check:

📌Two valid IDs (original and photocopy) with three (3) specimen signatures below the photocopy of your ID. (Preferably, School ID, and PhilHealth ID)

If you wish for an authorized representative (immediate family only) to claim your check, the representative must bring and present the following documents to the cashier unit:

☑️Authorization letter duly signed by the student-grantee.

☑️Original and photocopy of valid IDs for both the student-grantee and the authorized representative, with three (3) specimen signatures.

☑️Photocopy of the Landbank ATM Card under the student-grantee's name, with his/her three (3) specimen signatures beside the photocopy of the ATM card.

NOTE: If the grantee is not personally present to claim the check and wishes to authorize an immediate family member to claim it, please be advised that the check will be crossed and will no longer be cashable by the grantee. Instead, it must be directly deposited into the grantee's personal savings account under their name.
