Atheist Lesson (Basic)
What is an atheist? An atheist is a person who does not believe in the existence of any god or gods. Atheism is about a person's belief (or lack of belief), not necessarily their values or behavior.
What do atheists believe?
Many atheists rely on science, evidence, and reason to understand the world.
There is no single set of atheist beliefs. Atheists can have different opinions about morality, politics, and many other topics.
Some atheists are interested in religion as a subject of study, while others are not.
Important to remember
Not all atheists think the same way.
Being an atheist does not automatically make someone good or bad.
People of different beliefs—including religious people and atheists—should treat one another with respect and kindness.
