The Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK), through the LANDBANK Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI), and LANDBANK Palawan Lending Center, successfully implemented the Digital Financial Education (DxFinEd) under ASCEND Program and AGRISENSO Plus Lending Program Orientation in the municipalities of Balabac, Bataraza, Rizal, and Narra, benefiting approximately 1,198 farmers and fisherfolk.

The initiative equipped participants with practical knowledge on financial management, including saving, budgeting, risk management, responsible borrowing, digital registration,
mobile banking, and available financing opportunities. To further strengthen the participants' awareness of agricultural risk protection, the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) also conducted a session on the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) Crop Insurance Program, highlighting the importance and benefits of crop insurance for farmers.

By bringing together financial education, digital financial services, credit opportunities, and agricultural risk protection, LANDBANK, LCDFI, and their partner agencies continue to advance

The AgriSenso Plus ASCEND Program is currently being conducted in Jones, Isabela, bringing together farmers and agricultural stakeholders for a series of capacity-building sessions aimed at promoting financial inclusion and strengthening agricultural resilience.

Today’s learning sessions cover Digital Financial Education, AgriSenso Lending Program Orientation, and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Insurance Services. These topics are designed to enhance participants’ financial literacy, increase awareness of accessible agricultural financing, and highlight the importance of crop insurance as a risk management tool.

Through these initiatives, the program continues to support the government’s commitment to empowering the agricultural sector by equipping farmers with the knowledge and resources necessary to make informed financial decisions and sustain productive farming enterprises.

LCDFI proudly supports LANDBANK in advancing inclusive and accessible financial services.

As part of the LANDBANK ASCEND Program, the LANDBANK Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. conducted Digital Financial Education during the AgriSenso Plus Lending Program Caravan in Albay held on June 26, 2026, at the Albay Astrodome, Old Albay District, Legazpi City.

Through this activity, LCDFI helped equip participants with practical knowledge on digital financial services, account opening, safe digital banking practices, and responsible financial management—supporting LANDBANK’s continuing efforts to empower the agriculture sector through financial inclusion.

SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES — A total of 257 farmers and fisherfolk from the Municipality of San Antonio strengthened their financial knowledge through the Digital Financial Education Training and AGRISENSO Plus Lending Program Orientation conducted on June 17, 2026, by the LANDBANK Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI) in partnership with the LANDBANK Zambales Lending Center and the Local Government Unit of San Antonio.

The training introduced practical approaches to budgeting, saving, responsible borrowing, and agricultural risk management, while also encouraging participants to maximize digital financial tools such as the LANDBANK Mobile Banking Application. To further support the participants’ agricultural enterprises, the LANDBANK Zambales Lending Center presented the AGRISENSO Plus Lending Program, while the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) highlighted the importance of crop insurance in protecting farmers from unforeseen risks.

The activity reached a diverse group of agricultural stakeholders and opened greater opportunities for financial inclusion, with the majority identified as potential new LANDBANK borrowers. Through initiatives like this, LCDFI continues to empower farming communities by making financial education and accessible financial services more responsive to the evolving needs of the countryside.

A total of 467 participants from Nasugbu and Tanauan City, Batangas, participated in the AGRISENSO Plus Lending Program Orientation and Digital Financial Education Training held
on June 15-18, 2026. The activity aimed to equip local farmers with essential knowledge and practical skills in digital finance to enhance their agricultural productivity, improve financial management practices, and promote overall financial well-being.

The successful implementation of the four-day training was made possible through the strong collaboration of the LANDBANK Batangas Lending Center and the LANDBANK Countryside
Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI).

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our partner agencies and local officials for their invaluable support and contributions to the success of the activity. In Nasugbu, Mr. Emerlito Budeos expressed his gratitude to the Land Bank of the Philippines for providing agricultural financing at an interest rate of only 3% per annum and highlighted the importance of financial literacy and accessible credit in supporting the growth and development of the farming sector.

Likewise, in Tanauan City, Hon. Clarence Micosa expressed his support and appreciation for the conduct of the activity.

We also acknowledge the Municipal and City Agriculture Office, represented by Municipal Agriculturist Ms. Lora L. Destreza of Nasugbu and Mr. Sherwin Rimas of Tanauan City, for their active coordination and assistance in mobilizing participants and ensuring the smooth implementation of the program.

Special recognition is likewise given to the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), represented by Mr. Ricky John Carandang and Ms. Princess D. Mundia, for sharing valuable
insights on crop insurance services and programs. In addition, we expressed our sincere gratitude to Ms. Aimee H. Villanueva and Mr. Enrico C. Elloso, Branch Manager of the LANDBANK Nasugbu and Tanauan City Branch, for their meaningful participation and
continued support. The presence, cooperation, and active engagement of all partner agencies and local officials greatly contributed to the overall success and impact of the activity.

This inclusive training welcomed participants from diverse sectors—including senior citizens, agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs), solo parents, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). Such broad participation underscores our collective commitment to fostering a more resilient, financially capable, and empowered farming community in Batangas.
