LANDBANK Executive Vice President Marilou L. Villafranca joined UMak President Prof. Elyxzur C. Ramos and Makati City Councilor Tristan Pangilinan in welcoming the UMak community to a more convenient, secure, and digitally connected campus experience.

Through the Cash-Lite Campus Program, students, faculty, staff, and campus concessionaires are introduced to digital financial solutions such as the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA), LANDBANK QR, and Link.BizPortal for easier everyday transactions.

UMak students also took part in a financial education session, digital banking discussions, and the Cash-Lite Campus Mission on August 12, 2026, where students experienced opening LANDBANK accounts through the MBA and making cashless purchases using QR codes.

This year’s awardees from South Luzon were recognized for supporting the BSP's currency management programs, including the Cash Service Alliance. They were also cited for promoting digital payments and advancing financial literacy among businesses, students, and communities.

BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. emphasized that these accomplishments were made possible through strong collaboration among BSP stakeholders, similar to neighbors helping carry a house in the Bayanihan spirit. As he noted, “A house too heavy becomes light when everyone lifts together.”

“May we continue to pursue and deepen partnerships for financial stability and integrity, for the benefit of the people we serve,” the Governor added.

Averion, Head of Program Management Department II, presented the Bank’s 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗜-𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛) 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, which supports Filipino inventors and technology developers in transforming promising innovations into commercially viable and sustainable enterprises.
