Why I Bought My Life Insurance at 29
I was 29, working professionally in Mandaue City, far from home. My family and relatives were back in Cagayan de Oro—loving, but with no wealth, no properties, nothing to fall back on. I lived alone, but every decision I made was always with them in mind.
One day, I asked myself:
What if something unexpected happens to me?
An accident? A critical illness?
What would happen then—especially when no one was financially ready to help?
That question was enough for me to act. I bought my life insurance policy—not because it was popular, but because I needed security. I wanted peace of mind.
And I also asked myself:
What if I live a long life?
What if God blesses me with years beyond retirement?
I want to live those years in comfort, not burdened by finances.
With my investment-linked life insurance, I saw the potential to retire with dignity.
Fast forward to today—6 years later.
My policy is now 6 years old, and I’m grateful I made that choice.
So grateful, in fact, that I decided to go one step further:
I became a licensed financial advisor.
Why?
Because I believe in this mission—to help others see the beauty of having peace of mind, knowing that your future—and your family's—is protected.
Life insurance is not just a policy. It’s a promise. A lifeline. A legacy.
And I’m here to help others make that promise too.
