Join the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and help strengthen civil society engagement in Asia-Pacific.

We are looking for a Civil Society Engagement Specialist (Consultant) to identify opportunities for civil society organizations (CSOs) to meaningfully engage with ADB’s India Resident Mission (INRM). The consultant should be able to design, advise, and implement initiatives for CSO participation that are aligned with INRM’s Country Partnership Strategies and knowledge agenda. The consultant’s work should also be in line with ADB’s Civil Society Organizational Approach, Environmental and Social Framework, and strategic priorities on civil society engagement.

: Civil society representatives and ADB senior management convened during the 59th ADB Annual Meeting to exchange perspectives on safeguards, accountability, energy transition, social inclusion, and meaningful community participation.

The dialogue highlighted recent efforts to strengthen engagement with civil society, including ADB’s new Civil Society Approach and Environmental and Social Framework, and underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing the region’s evolving development challenges.
