BARAS TBI, through its Center Manager, Engr. Nemuel Norman Giron, shared his expertise and insights as one of the speakers during the activity organized by the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III) and the Institute of International Rural Development (IIRD).

Held on August 18-20, 2026, in Tarlac City, the activity was part of the โ€œDevelopment of Community-Based Agribusiness to Improve the Livelihood and Income of Marginal Farmers in Central Luzonโ€ initiative, which aims to promote innovative and sustainable approaches to improving the livelihood of farming communities.

Engr. Gironโ€™s participation reflects BARAS TBIโ€™s continued commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise, fostering innovation, and supporting initiatives that contribute to the development of communities in Central Luzon.

As part of our commitment to supporting our incubatees, BARAS TBI facilitated a consultation between our startup, OnThirdGen, and Engr. Mervin Albalate, Unit Head of the Intellectual Property and Commercialization Unit (ITSO).

The meeting served as an initial discussion on the intellectual property (IP) registration process, providing OnThirdGen with valuable guidance on the available IP protection mechanisms and the steps involved in safeguarding their innovation.

By connecting our startups with the University's innovation support offices, BARAS TBI continues to empower entrepreneurs with the knowledge and resources they need to transform innovative ideas into protected and sustainable ventures.
