We are looking for a Production Support Engineer to join our team!
Qwikwire is a complete payment processing platform that specializes in cross-border payments through various channels. We specialize in cross-border or international payments collection, and we do it very well. Our offerings are also highly customizable as opposed to one-size-fits-all products found in other payments processing services.
Production Support Engineer handles technical requests filed by internal stakeholders and end-users of Qwikwire/AQWIRE. Their primary responsibility is troubleshooting and resolving errors, and throughout their work, they must constantly log details for later reports and to provide customers with updates. When not fixing issues, you assist other engineers by contributing to product development and improving processes.

You will:
• Engage with our customers ranging from Real Estate, SMEs to large enterprises to understand and resolve their requests;
• Triage business or customer issues, debug, resolve or find workarounds;
• Create or update documentation based on findings from request investigations;
• Communicate via email, chat or video conferencing with customers;
• Submit and comment on bug reports and feature requests based on customer interactions;
• Engage with the product and development team to create new feature requests, escalate bugs, solve problems, or obtain missing information;
We expect you to have:
• 3 years of production-level software engineering experience in a Fintech or SaaS product company
• Experienced in web services, APIs, full-stack development;
• Comfort with writing code on top and code-level debugging with AQWIRE's primary tech stack - Python 3.6, and Javascript
• Ability to collaborate with designers, product managers and engineering teams, and other AQWIRE product teams to ship high-quality products that scale
• Proven ability to do project management work and prioritize across multiple efforts;
• Great communicator, comfortable explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
• Be proactive and innovative - we rely on your feedback to build a world-class cross-border payments platform
Nice to have
• Database experience in either Postgresql 9.6+ or MongoDB 4
• Experience with at least one JS framework - preferably Angular
• Experience with the AWS stack, especially EC2 and S3
• Experience in setting up build and test automation
• Experience working with CI/CD tools (such as Buddy, CircleCI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Comfortable working in roles that at times may be customer-facing;
• Willingness to learn new programming languages and frameworks.
You might also work on:
• Building internal tools for operations and internal customer support teams
• Design, develop and maintain APIs, services and systems across the entire ecosystem
• Contribute to adding functionalities and improving the AQWIRE Platform (Payment Portals, Dashboard)
• Build new features, payment experiences, or integrate third-party APIs and payment methods
