Another Promise Delivered 🧡✅

Today, A client who was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer Stage 2 at the age of 54 yrs old received this cheque from Sunlife.

Who would have thought that 5-months ago this client was very hesitant in getting a plan. But as faith would have it, she signed-up for a policy and now she’s a living proof of the saying that “It’s better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.” 👨🏻‍💻✍🏼🎗

Minsan ang akala nating “Gastos lang and insurance” un po ang sasalba sa atin sa oras ng pangangailangan...

A PROMISE IS A PROMISE 💟

My 29 year old friend/client was diagnosed with cancer. Ang bata pa. 🥺 hindi ko inexpect.

December 2020, kumuha siya ng Policy na may investment component. Sabi ko, “Girl, lagyan natin ng critical illness benefit, sa next policy ka na mag focus sa investment. Mas okay na may health funding tayo if ever magkasakit tayo.”

Ayaw niya pa sanang lagyan ng health funding, pero na-realize niya yung importance nito after sharing my presentation.

Three months after (March 2021) nagkaroon siya ng cancer. 🥺 “Jes, may cancer ako, at kinailangan ng major operation. Naubos yung coverage sa health card ko. At halos wala na rin yung naipon ko.”

I filed a claim, Thank God lagpas na ng 90 days yung diagnosis niya from the time na na-approved yung insurance plan niya. Also, the doctor confirmed that the illness was not pre-existing from the time na nag apply siya. 🙏

Ngayon, mas na-realize ko yung importance ng trabaho ko. I will continue to serve my kababayan. I will help them prepare for the uncertainties and achieve a lifetime financial security.

Hindi ako masaya sa nangyari sa client ko. Walang gustong may magkasakit. Walang may gustong may nahihirapan. Given the situation, hindi madaling magkasakit, sobrang mahal. 💸Pero masaya akong makatulong, sa paraang kaya ko at alam ko.

I will deliver this cheque to my client.

Cervical Cancer at 35 years old.

My client and friend since school days never expected this to happen and at such a young age. Battling against cancer is never easy. It drains the patient physically, emotionally and financially. Sobrang hirap daw pero lumalaban sya para sa family nya.

Though, as per our convo, God is still good kasi He prepared her finances early on. How? By getting a Life Insurance plan with Critical Illness Benefit rider 4 years ago.

I am proud of my friend for being a responsible wife and mother ever since. Kahit nun pa lang believer na daw sya ng insurance.

The fight is not yet over. Please pray for her and all cancer warriors to give them strength in their battle. 🙏

Your child's college education goal is always uncertain as their interest keeps on changing. Addition to that, inflation on education cost is much higher in general. Better to prepare for the best, rather than regret later. 😉

REALITY CHECK: Inflation of prices happen annually. Which will affect your savings set for the future/retirement fund

So, how much do we really need to save up for our retirement fund?

Simple computation:
1st: Identify your monthly expenses (ex. 50k)
2nd: multiply by 12 (50k x 12 = 600k)
3rd: multiply by ave inflation of 5% and no. of yrs left before retirement (600k x 1.05 x 30 yrs (press "=" button 30 times) = 2.6M)
4th: multiply by estimated no. Of retirement yrs (2.6M x 20 yrs = 52M 😱

Imagine if you just let your savings stay on your bank with .25% interest rate vs. putting your money on investments that has 8-10% interest rate

your P2,000 monthly in the bank will just be 747k in 30 yrs
vs.
your P2,000 monthly on investments (8% ave growth) will be 2.7M

As the saying goes, SPEND YOU MONEY WISELY and of course, SAVE your money WISELY too! 😉
