CREDIT CARDS. Who have never dreamed of having one?
But these cards may enslave and even cause worse problems once not paid. How? I had a client named “Boy” (not his real name). Mr. Boy experienced the luxury his credit card can give until one day, he can no longer pay his dues because of financial difficulties. Day after day, hour after hour, he receives calls, texts, and even emails usually containing threats. The worst of this, 5 men showed up on his doorsteps pretending they are ‘authorities’. They would just do an ocular inspection, they say. Mr. Boy, on his fear to be in jail, got his blood pressure shoot up.

One of the worst forms of pride among Christians is a militant, harsh, abrasive attitude that expresses itself in judging others. The most accepting people on earth should be Christians. And the most winsome, magnetic place in the world should be the church. Both can be true if we will stop judging others and start opening doors of Christ-centered giving.
