Insurance Agency. Monchito was also one of the recipients of the 1982 TOPS (Ten Outstanding Philippine Salesmen). In 1983, Monchito expanded his agency with the inclusion of non-life insurance services. Among them are fire, motorcar, bonds, aviation, marine, health care and medical insurance, and pre-need (e.g. education, memorial, and pension plans). Coverages can now be placed in US dollar-denominated policies, which include life, medical, and travel insurance. Now known as R A ROCO INSURANCE BROKERS, INC., the company is fully computerized, and is equipped to handle all types of insurance business. One of his early innovations was the sending of brochures and proposals via the internet. His current project is to allow clients to purchase insurance products directly through the internet via his website. He continually updates his office equipment to include the latest in communication technology. Monchito keeps himself abreast with new developments in the insurance industry to make sure that he is up-to-date with the latest products in the market. In many ways, he has created a niche in insurance marketing by providing quality insurance products priced reasonably and topping it with excellent service. This has been his trademark.
