(BKPH), a Philippine-based operating company of the BKAsiaPacific Group, is an independent consultancy specializing in quantity surveying and commercial and contract management. John Battersby, the Group Managing Director of BKAsiapacific, arrived in Hongkong in 1983 to set-up the Hongkong practice of Battersby, Old and Associates, a partnership in the United Kingdom involved in Construction Manag
ement, Project Management, Commercial and Contract Management and Quality Surveying. In 1995, Battersby and Associates took over the Hongkong operation of J.D. Kingsfield (Far East) Limited (Kingsfield), a United Kingdom based company which first came to Hongkong in the early 1980s when it was engaged by a large Hongkong property developer to manage a major arbitration. To reflect this relationship, Battersby and Associates changed its name to Battersby Kingsfield Limited. In 1997, Battersby Kingsfield opened an office in the Philippines, under the name BK Agas, Inc. and last May 2014, it was changed to BK Philippines Incorporated. Further developments saw Battersby Kingsfield and Burns Associates (who had offices in Hongkong, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia) managed to take over the management of Kingsfield's operations in the Asia Pacific region in 1999. Kingsfield subsequently withdrew from its traditional business and, in year 2000, BK AsiaPacific Limited was established to develop and expand the business of its subsidiaries and associated companies throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Since the formation of BKAsiaPacific, offices have been opened in Singapore in 2000; Malaysia in 2001; Shanghai in 2001 and Macau in 2005. OUR VALUES & COMMITMENTS
