NHMFC NAKIISA SA PAGDIRIWANG NG IKA-128 ARAW NG KALAYAAN

Bilang pakikiisa sa paggunita sa makasaysayang deklarasyon ng Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas, ang National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC), sa pangunguna ni Pangulong Renato L. Tobias, kasama ang mga opisyales at mahigit isang daang kawani ng ahensya, ay nakiisa sa pagdiriwang ng ika-128 Araw ng Kalayaan na ginanap sa Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, Manila.

Sa temang, “Kalayaaan, Kinabukasan at Kasaysayan,” pinangunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. kasama ang Unang Pamilya, mga miyembro ng gabinete, mga kinatawan at lider ng ibat-ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, at mga Diplomatic Corps, ang selebrasyon na sinimulan sa pagtaas ng watawat ng Pilipinas sa Monumento ni Rizal kasabay ang pag-awit ng Lupang Hinirang, sinundan ito ng parada na pinangunahan ng mga hukbong sandatahang nangangalaga sa seguridad at proteksyon ng Pilipinas, pagpapakita ng mga kagamitang pang-depensa, at mga pagtatanghal na sumasalamin sa mayamang kultura, husay at talento ng mga Pilipino.

Sa kanyang mensahe, hinimok ni Pangulong Marcos ang mga Pilipino na huwag mapagod na mahalin, piliin at ipaglaban ang Pilipinas, ipalawig ang kamalayan, maging mapanuri sa katotohanan, gamitin sa tama ang kakayahan para sa kabutihan, at lumaban ng patas sa araw-araw.

“Kung mananatiling tapat sa mga adhikain na ito matitiyak na ang susunod na henerasyon ay magmamana ng isang bansa na mas matatag, mas makatarungan at mas maunlad,” saad ni Pangulong Marcos.

Binigyang diin din niya na ang kapayapaan at kasarinlan na tinatamasa sa ngayon ay tinubos ng dugo ng ating mga ninuno kaya’t nararapat na magsilbing bigkis ang bandila, ang ating pambasang awit at ang ating pagka-Pilipino tungo sa kaunlaran ng Bagong Pilipinas.

Ang pakikilahok ng NHMFC sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan ay patunay na buo ang suporta nito na pangalagaan at protektahan ang kalayaang tinatamasa ng ating bansa. Patuloy na magsisilbi ang NHMFC nang may buong katapatan at gagamitin ang kakayahan para sa pagtulong sa mga Pilipino na magkaroon ng ligtas, maayos at abot-kayang tahanan.***

Sa ika-128 Anibersaryo ng Deklarasyon ng Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas, ang NHMFC ay nakikiisa sa buong bansa sa paggunita sa mga Pilipinong lumaban at nagbuwis ng buhay upang makamit ang ating kalayaan at kasarinlan.

Patuloy nating pahalagahan ang kalayaang tinatamasa na siyang humubog sa ating sariling pagkakakilanlan, nagtaguyod ng maunlad na pamumuhay at nagbigay ng payapa at masayang lipunan.

Nawa’y ang bawat isa ay maging responsable sa paggamit ng kalayaan sa pamamagitan ng pagsasabuhay ng demokrasya, paglilingkod ng buong katapatan at kahusayan at pagpapanatili ng kaayusan at kapayapaan.

NHMFC EXTENDS HOUSING LOAN MORATORIUM FOR BORROWERS AFFECTED BY THE MINDANAO EARTHQUAKE

To provide immediate financial relief to families affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that hit Mindanao yesterday, the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) extended its ongoing moratorium of housing loan amortization payments for qualified borrowers, which will end in July 2026, to an additional three (3) months.

Under this program, qualified borrowers may opt to temporarily defer their monthly amortization payments for another three (3) months from August to October 2026 without incurring penalties, surcharges, or interests during the moratorium period, The corresponding loan term will be adjusted and extended for a duration equivalent to the payment suspension.

This initiative aligns with the continuing commitment of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling to provide immediate assistance to homeowners facing financial difficulties brought about by natural disasters and other unforeseen circumstances.

NHMFC President Renato L. Tobias emphasized the Corporation’s commitment to responsive and compassionate public service.

“This extended moratorium is more than a payment relief measure --- it is National Home Mortgage’s response in standing with our Filipino families during this challenging time to give them the flexibility to rebuild and move forward,” NHMFC President Tobias said.

Borrowers who opt to continue settling their amortization payments during the moratorium period may still pay at all NHMFC offices, through our accredited collection partners --- Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), Philippine National Bank (PNB), Land Bank of the Philippines, Bayad Center, Gcash, Maya, and MyEG, or via Online Payment Facility in the NHMFC website. Payments made for updated accounts during the moratorium period shall be treated as advance payments.***

In accordance with the suspension of work today, 8 June 2026, due to earthquake issued by the Local Government Units of Davao City and General Santos City, operations at the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) - Davao and General Santos (GenSan) Offices are hereby suspended until further notice.

To ensure the safety and well-being of NHMFC personnel and clients, work will resume upon clearance from appropriate engineering and safety management authorities.

The public is advised to remain calm, stay vigilant for possible aftershocks, and follow the safety advisories and instructions issued by the concerned authorities.
