And I wish I had started even earlier. 🥹
I think I was 23 when I first learned about life insurance with living benefits. At first, I was hesitant. I had so many questions, doubts, and reasons to postpone it.
Until I eventually decided to become a Financial Advisor and get my own policy.
Looking back, I realized that starting earlier could have meant lower premiums, a longer time to build my policy's potential fund value, and potentially more options while I was younger and healthier.
But here's what made me realize how important this decision was.
I've seen people experience life's uncertainties without enough financial protection. And it's heartbreaking to see how an illness or unexpected event can affect not only someone's health but also their savings, family, and future.
That's why, even if I wish I had started sooner, I'm still proud of my younger self for finally taking that step.

And if you're reading this while thinking, "Pag-iisipan ko muna," "Kapag mas malaki na sahod ko," or "Bata pa naman ako," I understand. I used to have those thoughts, too.
But here's something worth remembering:
You cannot turn back time to lock in the age and health you have today.
Your future insurability isn't guaranteed. Your health can change, premiums may be higher as you get older, and some conditions may affect your eligibility or coverage options.
You don't have to get the most expensive policy. You don't have to figure everything out today. You just need to start understanding what you need, what you can afford, and what protection makes sense for your current season of life.
Because the best time to prepare isn't when you already need the protection. It's while you still have the opportunity to plan.
