I am Lana, a mom, Sun Life Advisor and a certified tita, who wants to share that there’s joy in frugal living. I am once a clueless spender during my early 20’s. Living the best life, ika nga. I’ve been spending on many non-essential things, pero nagiging clutter din. Everyday lunch at work, we will always eat out in Greenbelt. Parang everyday, laging me sweldo. I keep on spending to the point of
not having my own savings and investment. Until I realized that I have to restart and organize my finances. We scheduled our lunch outs (reward yourself din naman). I paid off my credit card debt (via installment, and no more swiping). I allocated a percentage from my salary for my savings and emergency fund. Then, level up na. When I entered my 30’s, I started my own first life and health insurance. When I became a Mom in 2012, I became more mindful and practical, knowing that your family especially my daughter depends on you. You will always have that fears of not being able to support her when something happens to me. To be able to support my family, we changed our mindset, lived a simpler life and set goals for the future. Knowing the value of a peso is a great lesson. Frugal living is about making mindful choices that allows you to save money, so you can enjoy the small and big things in life. Let me help inspire you. Let’s talk here- Frugality Talks by Lana.
