IT’S NOT WRONG TO TALK ABOUT MONEY IN RELATIONSHIPS

Before getting married, know how your partner spends money. Know their spending habits. Check if they are massively in debt or not.

This is so that you can discuss things with your partner from the start. This is so you can protect each others weakness in money management and create spending priorities. This is so you can help your partner out of debt if they are in one.

This also allows you to assign roles on who handles, saves, and invests the money.

I took care of the budgeting, saving and investing part while my wife took care of the planning travel and spending part of our finances. I am not passionate about shopping but she is. She is not passionate about investing but I am.

Please remember it’s not wrong to talk about money in relationships. One of the reasons marriages fail is because of money disagreements.
