The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), through Circular No. 1230 series of 2026, has increased the cash withdrawal threshold that triggers enhanced due diligence (EDD) to ₱1 million.

Clients making over-the-counter cash withdrawals or payouts exceeding ₱1,000,000.00 whether in a single transaction or in aggregated transactions within one day, are required to provide:
✅A valid ID
✅A valid purpose for the cash withdrawal, supported by appropriate documentation
