Have you ever taken a closer look at this verse from the Holy Bible?
Genesis 41:48–49
"Joseph collected all the food produced in those seven years of abundance in Egypt and stored it in the cities... Joseph stored up huge quantities of grain, like the sand of the sea."
Joseph understood that seasons of abundance would not last forever. Instead of spending everything he had during the good years, he wisely set aside a portion for the future. His preparation not only protected his family but also saved an entire nation during the years of famine.
This passage reminds us to practice wise stewardship with the blessings God entrusts to us. Setting aside a portion of our income through savings, investments, or emergency funds is not a sign of fear—it is an act of wisdom and faith. By planning ahead, we are better prepared for unexpected challenges and are in a stronger position to provide for our families and even help others when they are in need.
