Engaged in rural banking, microfinancing, mobile phone banking and money transfers via GCash. The Rural Bank of Labason (ZN), Inc. started out as a dream of Spouses Angeles and Rosalina Carloto. With the noble intention of helping the community and country, these "dreamers' managed to organize a small financial institution with their hard-earned savings. The bank opened its doors to the public on
2 January 1980 under the prudent leadership of its President and Chairman of the Board Angeles V. Carloto together with Directors Francisco Buctuan Sr., Arturo Galicia Sr., Bartolome Salarda and Leonor Ybarley. Because of the diligence, honesty and thrift practiced by its first treasurer, Rosalina Melicor Carloto, the Bank flourished and grew tremendously over the years. Inspired by this legacy, the present Board of Directors led by Atty. Angel M. Carloto opened its first branch in Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte on September 2, 2003 offering a new financial window to its residents and neighboring municipalities through the "Kakugi Mo, Ayudahan Ko" Microfinance Program in addition to its normal banking services. With a broadening clientele stretching across Zamboanga peninsula, the Bank continues to persevere, helping people become productive members of the community. What began as a tiny seed of hope later grew into a tall, towering tree. For what we are today, We, the Board of Directors, Stockholders, Officers and Staff give back all the glory, honor and praise to God.
