Kenram Philippines, Incorporated (KPI) was incorporated in 1957 as company involved in the planting and manufacturing Kenaf and Ramie crop with its head offices in Manila and the operational center at Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. In 1970 the company (KPI) ventured into palm oil industry resulting in the conversion of its ramie plantation to Oil Palm Plantation and in the year 1972, its
processing facilities (Palm Oil Mill) were brought on line. In 1987, Kenram Industrial and Development, Incorporated (KIDI) was registered with SEC a wholly owned corporation of KPI, to manage the milling facilities of KPI. In the year 2002, the plantation of KPI was turned over to the workerโs cooperatives in accordance with the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) Act. MILL PROFILE
In 1972 the processing facility of Kenram Philippines, Incorporated (KPI) (Palm Oil Mill) was established. The initial capacity was 5 tons/hour, which was raised to 20 tons/hour by the year 1995. The Kernel Crushing Plant of 30 tons/day capacity was brought on line in 1992. The CPO Mill has been in operation for the last 35 years. The rehabilitation work was carried out on the plant in 1987. No major rehabilitation work has been done after this, Other than the normal routine maintenance and replacement. HISTORY OF THE FIRM
KPI was registered with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on December 10, 1951. Its primary purpose was to plant, cultivate, raise and process KENAF, RAMIE and other similar Agricultural product at Kenram, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. But due Economic reason, KPI decided to change its Ramie Plantation in December 1970 and Concentrate on its Oil Palm Project. KPI Registered its Oil Palm project with the board of investment (BOI) as a prepared, non-pioneer enter price in April 1970 and started Commercial operations in 1970. The Company has planted area of oil palm plantation of about 1,600 hectares and the outside Growers have planted about 3,000 hectares. However, with the implementation of CARP Laws KPI was awarded to two Cooperative namely: KARBEMPCO and MAPARBEMPCO in year 2002. KIDI a Domestic corporation organized in accordance with the Philippines laws and registered with Sec under registration certificate number 147129 with head office at 5th Floor, Strata 100 building, Emerald Avenue, Ortigas center, Pasig City and field office at Kenram, Isulan Sultan Kudarat take over the mill.
