When I started my journey in AIA, I thought I was simply building a career.

But along the way, I met people who saw something in me that I didn't always see in myself.

One of those people is my Agency Manager, Amy Sy Soon.

She didn't just teach me about the business.
She helped me see possibilities beyond what I thought I was capable of.

Through her leadership, I learned that being a leader isn't simply about knowing what to do. It's about believing in people, challenging them to grow, and sometimes seeing their potential before they can see it themselves.

Looking back, I realize that one of the most valuable things AIA has given me isn't just a career.
It's people who helped me become a better version of myself.

And maybe that's why I believe so much in surrounding yourself with people who challenge you, believe in you, and make you think bigger.

Because sometimes, the right person doesn't just change your career.

They change the way you see yourself. 🤍

One lesson I wish I had learned earlier?
You can work hard for your future without postponing your life.

I wish I had learned sooner how to value money—not just earn it, but manage it, stick to a budget, and make intentional choices with it.

But I also wish I understood earlier that success isn't only about building a career.
There are people to love.
Moments to enjoy.
Experiences to make.
And a life to actually live.

Today, I believe the goal isn't to choose between career and life.

It's to build a life where both can grow together. 🤍

Earn. Manage. Grow. Love. Live.

That's part of what Building Beyond Wealth means to me.

When I was younger, I thought I already knew what a successful career looked like.

A fixed income.
Work hard.
Get promoted.
Become a manager.

That was my definition of success.

I never really considered that there could be another way—one where you could build a career, earn well, grow as a person, and still enjoy your life along the way.

It took experience, new opportunities, and meeting different people for me to realize that sometimes, the biggest limitation isn't our ability.

It's the picture we have in our head of what is possible.

Today, I look at career opportunities differently.

And if I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be:

Don't be too quick to decide what your future is supposed to look like.

Stay curious. Explore. Give yourself permission to discover a different path. 🤍

But along the way, I realized it can be so much more.
