GRABE, SKYROCKET LAHAT NG LOPEZ STOCKS!
They are now becoming one of the HOTTEST STORIES in our local stock market!
Hindi ko na lang i-mention itong mga brokers, but most of them previously recommended to AVOID Lopez stocks.
Pero tingnan niyo naman ngayon... THEY ARE FLYING! ππ
So, ano ba ang nangyari? This is the story. π
Nag-start ang lahat sa ongoing Lopez family feud, particularly sa attempt ng majority Lopez shareholders na alisin si Federico "Piki" Lopez from his leadership role in First Gen.
Dito na lumabas ang controversial "poison pill" provisions connected to FGEN's transactions with Prime Infrastructure. These provisions could impose significant financial consequences if there is a change in management control.
SECOND β FGEN's gas business deal with Prime Infra.
Important clarification: Hindi binenta ang FGEN sa Prime Infra.
What happened was, First Gen sold a 60% stake in five gas-fired power plants to Enrique Razon Jr.'s Prime Infrastructure for around β±50 BILLION, while FGEN retained an interest in the business.
This transaction became one of the major sources of the Lopez family dispute.
THIRD β THE $5 BILLION EDC BOMBSHELL! π₯
Then came the BIG ONE.
Indonesia's Barito Renewables Energy (BREN) made an unsolicited, indicative and non-binding offer to acquire Energy Development Corporation (EDC) for approximately US$5 BILLION.
EDC is FGEN's geothermal powerhouse and one of the biggest renewable energy companies in the Philippines.
The market immediately started asking:
"Wait lang... ganito pala kalaki ang value ng EDC?"
And since FGEN has a significant economic stake in EDC, investors suddenly started reassessing the value of FGEN.
At the time of the announcement, FGEN shares surged as much as 33% intraday and eventually closed 18.42% higher.
FOURTH β RAMON ANG ENTERS THE LOPEZ EMPIRE.
And now, another pasabog!
Ramon S. Ang acquired a 25.68% stake in Lopez Inc. from the family branch of former ABS-CBN chairman Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III.
This is a HUGE development because Lopez Inc. sits at the top of the family's private holding structure, with exposure to businesses including FPH, FGEN, Rockwell and ABS-CBN.
BUT important clarification:
Hindi ibig sabihin na Ramon Ang already controls the entire Lopez Group.
He now has a major stake and significant foothold, but the exact control structure depends on the remaining ownership and voting arrangements of Lopez Inc.
Still, this is one of the biggest changes in Lopez Group ownership in recent years.
FIFTH β FGEN DELISTING STORY.
And here's another reason why investors are suddenly paying attention to FGEN.
Even before the current Lopez family drama, FGEN had already been open to the possibility of going private/delisting.
In November 2025, FGEN CEO Federico Lopez said the company was open to the possibility of delisting if the opportunity presented itself, although there were no definitive plans at that time.
Why is this important?
Because FGEN has a relatively small public float, and the stock has historically traded at a valuation that some investors consider too low compared with the underlying value of its assets.
So ngayon, investors are asking:
Could the Lopez Group eventually take FGEN private at a premium?
Wala pang confirmed deal.
But the possibility alone is already part of the market narrative.
In short,
LOPEZ STOCKS ARE SKYROCKETING.
And look at the names involved:
ABS β ABS-CBN
LPZ β Lopez Holdings
FPH β First Philippine Holdings
ROCK β Rockwell Land
FGEN β First Gen
honestly...
Ang sakit lang isipin.
After watching all these developments.
NI ISA WALA AKONG HAWAK. ππ
HAHAHAHAHAHA! π€£
Ikaw, may hawak ka ba kahit ISA LANG dito?
