"0% interest, 6 months" sounds like a free upgrade — and part of that's true. You're not charged interest on the item itself. What's easy to miss: that installment becomes a fixed bite out of your cash every month for 6 months straight, whether or not anything else comes up.
Illustrative only — a ₱18,000 item at 0% over 6 months means ₱3,000 out, locked, every month, no flexibility if a real emergency lands in month 3.
The cost was never the interest. It's the flexibility you traded away to get to 0%. Sometimes that trade's still worth it, depending on your situation — just worth seeing clearly before you sign.
Ever taken a 0% deal and felt that lock-in later? What happened?
