The rainy season brings a higher risk of W.I.L.D. diseases. In this series, we're starting with Waterborne diseases.
Even clear-looking water can carry harmful microorganisms. Here are some of the common illnesses and their symptoms:
1. Cholera symptoms: Diarrhea, dehydration.
2. Diarrhea symptoms: 3 to 4 loose stools a day.
3. Hepatitis A symptoms: Fever, yellow eyes, stomach pain, dark urine.
4. Typhoid Fever symptoms: Fever, weakness, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, cough.
Protect yourself and your family with these key steps:
✔ Drink water from safe sources only. (Boil water for 3 mins. or use chlorination.)
✔ Cook food well and keep it covered to prevent contamination.
✔ Always wash your hands before handling food and after using the toilet
