Ayala Land To Build New Ayala Malls In Azuela Cove Davao

Ayala Land is set to develop a new Ayala Malls in Azuela Cove, Davao City, marking its second major mall project in the area after Abreeza. The development aims to strengthen its presence in the region.

The project is expected to further grow Azuela Cove as a key mixed use destination in Davao.

Davao City recorded over 2 million tourist arrivals in 2025, with strong momentum carrying into 2026 as March logged a 17.38 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

City Tourism Operations Office OIC Willenito P. Tormis Jr. attributed the surge to expanded tourism circuits, new activities, and stronger support for local SMEs.

“Isa ang Davao sa naga enjoy sa increasing tourist arrivals… nag introduce ta og new tourism circuits ug products para masuportahan ang atoang local SMEs,” he said.

Major festivals remain key drivers, with Kadayawan drawing over 206,000 visitors and Pasko Fiesta nearly 193,000 in 2025, while early 2026 gains were boosted by the month-long Araw ng Dabaw celebration.

With more events lined up, including Duaw Dabaw in June, Davao City continues to strengthen its position as a leading tourism hub in the country.
