Thoughts from a wandering mind... Promises

27 years ago I made a promise to Nina

"I take you, Nina to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, and I pledge to you my faith."

when our children were born, we looked into their innocent faces and promised "i will love you and take good care of you, let nothing harm you and help you be better persons than we are"
In a wedding of a friend of mine, the bride said: i will love you not for for your lifetime but for mine...

A promise made is a promise kept...

This got me to think... to have and to hold, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, sickness and health to love and cherish, til death... this is the promise i made not only to Nina but to my children and their children and the generations to come as my parents and ancestors have done for me.

How can this promise be kept?

In 20 years, 700 families and more have worked with me to fulfill their dream to keep a promise and be remembered as someone who kept their word.

20 years ago, Nina and I had a dream to build a team of people of significance.

We look back at the invitation of Bernie Guirgen and were joined by Deng Fondevilla (a founding team member)and Patrick David Lim.

People shape the team and we are blessed to have recognized all the contributions towards creating a culture of support and persistence. Everyone who walked through our doors contributed to who our team is and what we stand for.

20 years would not be possible without the team, without Pru Life UK and most importantly, our clients who are now our friends and family. For believing that we are worthy of your trust and for knowing that your family is worth it for what you do, we thank you!

Today and the years to come, we strive to innovate, clearly communicate and elevate ourselves to always be a team of service to provide you the proper options.

We thank the Lord for you and may your days be filled with fruitfulness and joy!

Thoughts from a wandering mind... If you could, would you?
I saw a documentary last night, of nature, the earth, animals and people and what I saw was the innocent beauty of our world, I give thanks to our Lord for that.

It got me to think, If I could go back in time, would I change my decisions to lessen regret? Would i change my relationships to be kept in fond memory? Would I change my direction to mold my LEGACY? Would you? I would, just to give so much back to this beautiful world.

The decisions we make today and the action or inaction we take will determine what tomorrow will be. I have a "crystal ball" and its called FinCheck... its a tool to plan for tomorrow today, to mold your legacy today, to be kept in fond memory so fewer regrets happen. Our world and life is too precious for regrets.

Thoughts from a wandering mind: Time and Money... we've heard this before... its an expression that is used so many times to talk about waste and loss. tama ba?

In the MDRT Annual meeting, i learned about Time and Money. how Time greatly affects how your Money grows and how much money you need to put in if you have a lot of time or if you dont have a lot of time.

An illustration of this was taught to me in training.. a 25 year old puts in 3,000 per month to achieve a sizable retirement benefit at age 60 but a 45 year old needs to put in 10,000 per month and the result is much less than the 25 year olds amount at age 60.. what does this tell us.. time is valuable.

Ive learned as well that little contributions through time creates a big sum... remember when we were little, we would have bamboo banks? we put in small amounts and when it is heavy, we open it with excitement and find it filled and full! it did not hurt to put in that small amount and because of the habit and time, it is heavy and full.

This is what Id like to propose to you... put in an amount you are comfortable with, do it regularly and in time, there will be a reward and if we run out of time, at least our family doesnt miss anything else but us.
