A town hall meeting for Verdon Parc unit owners will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Function Room 1 to discuss the technical findings and next steps following the earthquake that affected Davao City.

Representatives from the DMCI Homes Construction Team and independent third-party consultant AC PAMA Engineering Consultancy will be present to explain the assessment findings, provide updates on the planned repair works, and respond to questions from unit owners.

We recognize that many homeowners have been waiting for this discussion, and we sincerely apologize that the meeting could not be held sooner. Additional time was needed to complete and consolidate the technical assessments, validate the findings, and coordinate the participation of the relevant technical teams. This was necessary to ensure that the information presented during the meeting is complete and verified and that homeownersโ€™ concerns can be addressed by the appropriate representatives.

Following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that affected Davao City on June 8, 2026, technical assessments conducted at Verdon Parc identified varying degrees of structural and nonstructural distress associated with the strong ground movement.

Recognizing the disruption and uncertainty experienced by homeowners in the weeks since the earthquake, DMCI Homes will shoulder the cost of the identified earthquake-related repairs within affected units. This is intended to ease the financial burden on homeowners and support the Verdon Parc community throughout the recovery process.

The repair works will be based on the findings of the completed unit inspections and technical assessments. Affected homeowners will be individually informed of the validated scope of work for their units, along with the corresponding repair schedule and access requirements. The implementation will be coordinated by the DMCI Homes Construction Team and the Property Management Office.

We ask for everyoneโ€™s cooperation in providing access to affected units and observing the agreed schedules so the works can proceed safely and efficiently. Further details, including the scope, sequence, and anticipated duration of repairs, will be communicated directly to the concerned homeowners.

Following the recent earthquake that affected parts of Mindanao, Verdon Parc underwent a comprehensive structural assessment by MACRO Consulting Structural Engineers Company, the projectโ€™s Structural Engineer of Record (EOR), together with representatives from DMCI Homes and independent third-party consultant AC PAMA Engineering Consultancy.

Based on their inspections and engineering evaluations, the buildings remain structurally safe, stable, and serviceable for occupancy. As stated in AC PAMA Engineering Consultancyโ€™s report:

โ€œOverall, the building remains standing and generally stable [at the time of inspection].โ€

While localized cracks were identified, the Construction Group has already commenced the recommended restoration works on the affected structural members. At the same time, a separate team is carrying out repairs in units, hallways, and fire exit stairs to address identified potential hazards and maintain safe access for residents.

AC PAMA Engineering Consultancyโ€™s report, which outlines the inspection findings and recommended repairs, was submitted to the Office of the City Building Official (OCBO) on July 16, 2026, for review. We continue to coordinate closely with the OCBO as its review and the restoration works progress.
