CMC Hosts Successful Joint PMES & Kiddie Savings Orientation
Dedication to cooperative values and financial literacy took center stage last Saturday, July 18, 2026, as Cordova Multipurpose Cooperative (CMC) successfully conducted the Joint Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) & Kiddie Savings Orientation Program.
Held at the HNSA TVET & Assessment Center, the productive, whole-day event brought together an enthusiastic crowd of Lapu-Lapu City public school teachers alongside their highly supportive school principals, all eager to embrace the cooperative movement and champion learner’s financial literacy for the next generation.
The morning session kicked off with an inspiring welcome address by the project director, Dir. Marilyn S. Andales, setting a collaborative tone for the day. Participants dove deep into cooperative principles with Dir. Paulo F. Tagsip, followed by an enriching session on CMC's history, organizational structure, and member rights led by Dir. Nicolas A. Tura.
The momentum carried into the afternoon focusing on tangible impacts. MRDO Merilyn T. Dumosmog highlighted CMC’s deep commitment to member well-being by focusing heavily on the cooperative's tangible healthcare services. She also shed light on the FONUS memorial program, ensuring our educators understand how CMC protects both their health and provides security for their families . Branch Managers Val and Shy dove deep into the cooperative's diverse loan products and day-to-day operations. Dir. Viurina Baguio energized the room with a vital session on Youth Financial Literacy & Kiddie Savings—a topic that deeply resonated with the educators in attendance.
The event concluded seamlessly after a lively Open Forum and the distribution of certificates, tokens and cash incentives by the CMC management & officers.
CMC extends its deepest gratitude to our CSR Portfolio Holder , Director Marilyn S. Andales for the exceptionally warm accommodation, excellent hospitality, and dedicated support in ensuring the venue and logistics were perfectly tailored for our participants.
We also extend our sincerest thanks to Mr. Elvis Ilaida, who kept the energy high and the program moving smoothly as the Master of Ceremonies.
Thank you to all the public school teachers, principals, and organizers who invested their Saturday into building a stronger, financially literate community. Together, we are planting the seeds for a wealthier, wiser tomorrow!

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and in the true spirit of Bayanihan, Cordova Multipurpose Cooperative (CMC) proudly stepped up as part of that village! CMC formally signified its intent and participated as an active stakeholder in this year's Brigada Eskwela.
We firmly believe that a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment is vital for every student's success. As part of our Cooperative Social Responsibility (CSR), CMC turned over modest cash donations to various public schools within our operational coverage to help support a smooth and successful opening for the School Year 2026-2027.
Our reach spanned across multiple communities to ensure our learners are ready for day one: 12 Key Public Schools in Cordova ,5 Public Schools in Minglanilla , 5 Public Schools in Lapu-Lapu (including the beautiful island of Olango)
Alongside our financial support, CMC also introduced our Kiddie Savings Program to the learners of selected public schools. We want to inspire our young students to build smart financial habits early in life!
