Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Circular No. 1218 series of 2025 requires large value transactions exceeding ₱500,000.00 (or its equivalent in foreign currency) to be conducted through traceable channels such as checks, online fund transfers, direct credit to deposit accounts, or digital payments.

In compliance with this, customers will be asked to submit additional identification information and/or proof of a legitimate business purpose for large cash out transactions exceeding ₱500,000.

Effective October 4, 2025, customers who need to withdraw more than ₱500,000 in cash will be asked to provide the following:
- valid ID
- valid reason for the withdrawal and provide additional information/supporting document (e.g. payment of hospital bills or business supplier)

Effective October 4, 2025, there will be additional requirements for large cash transactions, pursuant to BSP Circular No. 1218-2025.

For cash pay-outs exceeding P500,000 (or foreign currency equivalent), customers are required to present the following:

· Additional valid identification
· Proof of legitimate purpose or transaction

Customers are encouraged to use the following channels for large-value transactions:

· Check Payment
· Fund Transfer (InstaPay, PESONet, RTGS)
· Direct Credit to Deposit Accounts
· Other Digital Payment Platforms of the Bank
