The Countdown Begins for the Opening of SM Seaside Cebu Arena
The countdown has officially begun as the highly anticipated SM Seaside Cebu Arena gears up for its grand opening this June 2026, marking a major milestone for Cebu’s entertainment, tourism, and events industry.
Developed by SM Prime Holdings, the massive world-class venue is poised to become one of the largest indoor arenas in the Philippines, designed to host international concerts, sporting events, conventions, and large-scale productions.
Rising seven storeys high with a seating capacity of up to 25,000, the SM Seaside Cebu Arena is expected to redefine the live entertainment experience in the Visayas. Inspired by the success of the iconic SM Mall of Asia Arena, the Cebu counterpart aims to bring the same global-caliber energy and production standards closer to fans in the south.
“The enduring success of SM MOA Arena shows the strong demand for world-class entertainment venues, so we are bringing the same proven model to Cebu,” said Jeffrey C. Lim, President of SM Prime Holdings.
The arena boasts cutting-edge features including one of the country’s most advanced center-hung displays, immersive LED ribbon boards, 5G-ready digital infrastructure, and flexible event configurations capable of handling both sold-out stadium concerts and more intimate productions.
Luxury and premium entertainment are also taking center stage with exclusive Premier Suites designed for corporate guests and VIP experiences, elevating Cebu’s live event scene to international standards.
Beyond concerts, the venue is built to support large productions with dedicated practice courts, multifunction event spaces, breakout rooms, and holding areas tailored for performers, organizers, and major touring acts.
Strategically located within the SM Seaside Complex, the arena offers direct access to hotels, shopping, dining, and transportation hubs — making it a convenient destination for both local and international visitors. Even before its official opening, excitement continues to build as major artists have already secured bookings at the venue. Confirmed events include BINI on July 11, IV of Spades on July 18, TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan on September 5, and LANY on November 6 and 12.
