My internet bill is more expensive than the monthly insurance premium that saves me a lifetime.
I started my life insurance journey when I was still a college student and did not continue it because I have doubts. To make the story short, I was not financially educated at that time.
Years passed, I had a quarter-life crisis, broke and started thinking about savings, career, future goals, lifestyle, what I look like when I get old, increasing expenses and, the unending list goes on and on. We all experience such crises in life. Whatever bothers you, I am sure that you worry about yourself and what your life looks like in the future. The good thing is, there are solutions out there and, one of them is financial literacy that includes personal financial management, budgeting and investing. Life Insurance is one of them. The bad thing is, even though you are aware of your situation, you did not start to do anything to make a change.
So, I went back to my ever-patient agent. It is not easy going back. There are bad things and good things.
The bad things are, my previous monthly premium is way slightly expensive compared to those when I got it in the year 2015. It comes with the same coverage. The other one is, I have to start all over again refreshing about life insurance and its product. The good thing is, I have to acknowledge my bad choices in the past and learn a lot, especially with Time, it is money. It cost me a little more this time and I realize that my monthly internet and electricity bill is more expensive than my monthly insurance premiums. Like what? Hell, yeah. My insurance is just worth 55 pesos a day. I'm saying to myself, "Why can't I afford to buy insurance that saves me with any of my financial, medical, protection, and retirement needs? The other thing is, if I don't get it now, it will be more expensive getting it in the next couple of years considering the medical condition that might slightly be deteriorating. Lastly, I am an advocate of financial literacy now. If I have my friends say, "I wanted to do this and that..." and I say go with it, go trading, start your freelance career, start a side business. Anything you do that gives you financial freedom in return.
Bottom-line is, I am young, dumb and, maybe it didn't work for me those times, but I reassess it to consider not regretting it the second time around. Ika nga, kung ayaw may dahilan, kung gusto may paraan.
I want you to understand the importance of life insurance and to make the right choice. To do this, you need to ask yourself about your needs and purchase a product that works for you, your family and insurance premiums that fit your budget. A financial advisor like me can help you with this.
I want you to help you assess yourself, your needs, and your budget. We could have a little chit-chat about financial goals you wanted to attain and give you the life insurance best fit for you.
Don't be shy to shoot for a DM.
