I'm an Entrepreneur myself and this is one of my questions as well. Which is more important between the 2 of them? ⁠
Because if you'd ask me, I would say "Of course, Accounting." 😅 ⁠
⁠
So I asked a cousin, who's an expert in the Marketing field and this is what she told me: "Before launching your business, you should do your marketing first." ⁠
⁠
And I couldn't agree more! Of course, when you're just starting out a business you need to do a lot of research and Marketing has that! You need to know the basics of it like: ⁠
✔️ Who is your target market?⁠
✔️ What product/services you can offer?⁠
✔️ When is the best time to launch a business?⁠
⁠
⁠
But did you also know that while marketing is vital before launching a business, so does Accounting?⁠
WHY? Because of this: ⁠
💥 One of the four main components of Marketing is Pricing strategies (you can have this by doing Cost Accounting)⁠
⁠
So, suffice to say whatever aspect or phase you are in your business right now ACCOUNTING and MARKETING should work hand in hand. There's no competition between these two because both of these departments are vital to every company's success. ⁠

Found these univ days photos🥰❤️

These were the times that my only responsibilities are:

✅to pass the subjects
✅get a “good grades” that are fit for the university standard
✅ MORE TIME so that I won’t cram during exams 😂(Who wouldn’t cram during exams, right?!🤣🤪)

These were the phase in my life where I told myself, “Nah, I’m still young and I have all the time in the world.” Jokes on you, honey! 😅 Time doesn’t wait for anyone.

Time. What a luxury it is to have more time. As an Entrepreneur, I think we can all agree that time is something beyond price.

If you’re an Entrepreneur who has kids or family of your own— you need to be present in their lives. And I don’t mean just be present physically but be present mentally and emotionally. You need to be “there” in the moment with them and share life with them. 💕 And that for me, is what makes time so valuable.

Yes, we have businesses to tend to, checklists to tick off, clients needs we should prioritize, and the lists can goes on. But friends, let’s also realize the value of life, relationships, and being present in the moment. 🤍💕

So, take a pause right now (if you’re still reading this), and asked yourself this question:
“When was the last time I am present for myself, my kids, and the people around me?”

Maybe it is the right time to disseminate those business tasks [Admin tasks, website, copywriting, Socmed marketing & management, accounting & bookkeeping, email marketing & etc.] to professionals who can help you have MORE TIME. ☺️

The choice is yours,so choose wisely. 💕

☑️I decided to enter law school 2 years ago and;
☑️ started doing my Online business instead of being a corporate slave 😅✌️

💡 Did you know that statistics show a fairly large percentage of small- to medium-sized businesses will fail in their first year. An even greater percentage will fail within five years.

Why? The number one reason is cash flow problems.

Most businesses will fall into the loop of focusing so much of their time on growing their business that they'll lose sight of the accounting part of the business.

I don't know if you also feel this way, but there's a phase in our lives that we feel like we need to compete. We undervalue our achievements because we labeled it as something "small" and "it's not enough". Everyday feels like a competition with your friends or maybe from a family member. It's draining and tiring. You'll lose yourself in the process.

If you're in this situation, let me tell you that "It's okay, you're in the right path at your own pace. You do you, darling."

If you're someone who've overcome this, let me tell you that "I am so proud of you! You've fought enough. You've proven enough. Thank you for taking the courage to listen to yourself and do what makes you happy." 💓

Probably my client's reaction right now 😂😂😂

I can still remember when he told me, "My book is a mess. I need your help." So, here we are, 5 months later!
His books are now updated and I always make sure we have a monthly bookkeeping call so that I can teach him some bookkeeping basics and make him understand his number. 👍❤️

Small business owners and Entrepreneurs, are you practicing these 3 Bookkeeping Mistakes in your Business?⁠

1. Not separating Personal from Business⁠
- It's a BIG NO-NO. The IRS requires that your funds are separate. And if your Business Tax return were ever audited, some of your deductions could be reduced or denied if your personal and business funds are commingled! ⁠
⁠
2. DIY Bookkeeping⁠
- I have nothing against those Entrepreneurs who DIY their bookkeeping as long as YOU ARE 100% SURE you know what you are doing. Not doing your Bookkeeping correctly can cost your Accountant several hours of clean-up at Tax Time and it can cost you deductions.⁠

3. Thinking you DON’T have to keep your receipts.⁠
- Are you guilty of doing this? 😁 According to the Internal Revenue Service, receipts are still required. If you were ever audited on your Business Expenses and did not have the proper receipts, your deduction could be disallowed!⁠

These are simple, yet common mistakes Business Owners and Entrepreneurs make regarding their Bookkeeping. As the great late Maya Angelou says, “When you know better, you do better.”⁠
