SSS issues 923 show cause orders to business employers in nationwide RACE Ops

The Social Security System (SSS) recently conducted simultaneous Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) operations in 114 selected areas around the country to call on non-compliant employers to settle their various contribution delinquencies. This is part of the Labor Day activities which SSS facilitated to promote the welfare of more than 13,000 Filipino workers after issuing written notices to their employers for failure to remit their SSS contributions.

The Land Bank of the Philippines inaugurated the first-ever commercial bank in Bacacay, Albay last March 27 in keeping with its mission to promote financial inclusion in the country.

The branch-lite unit would primarily serve the 56 barangays in the town as well as the nearby municipalities of Malilipot and Sto. Domingo.

In addition to having an automated teller machine (ATM) and one cash deposit machine (CDM), Bacacay Branch-Lite also has a Digital Corner where clients can open a deposit account using the Bank’s Digital Onboarding System (DOBS).

The Department of Finance encourages corporations that have incurred fines or whose certificates of registration have been suspended or revoked due to the late and non-filing of certain reportorial requirements to avail the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s amnesty program.

In a press release published last May 2, Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno encouraged corporations to avail of the SEC Amnesty to maintain their good standing.
