UPDATING MY BENEFICIARIES.
Of course the primary beneficiaries are my kids. 🥰

If ever something happens to me, syempre di naman natin masasabi ang life. Reality check lang. So may million ang marereceive ng mga anak ko. Naks naman! HAHA! Atleast hindi sila gaano malulungkot kapag nawala ako. Joke! 😂

Pero syempre, maaabutan ko pa mga magiging apo ko. But life is so uncertain, hindi natin masasabi kelan tayo tatawagin ni Lord, (wait si Lord ba talaga?) Charoot.

Bottom point, if you are a parent like me and may mga anak ka na naka-depend sayo, life insurance is non-negotiable, meaning dapat meron ka talaga nito. Because DEATH is reality for everyone, whether you like it or not. You must make sure that your family is protected after your death. You must make sure na, macocontinue nila pag-aaral nila kahit wala ka na. You must make sure that they will still live the life you want for them.

Diba? Kasi we are a parent, MAHAL natin sila hanggang after life natin. 🥹💛

"Pang mayaman lang ang insurance!"

We often hear this. A common notion amongst Filipinos. Because most of us see insurance as expensive and only for the privileged.

But, let me tell you what I think is expensive.

Hospital bills.
School fees.
Retirement.
Funeral services.

Hindi lang mayayaman ang nagkakasakit, nag-aaral, at namamatay. Insurance may be an expense now, but it's not nearly as expensive as having no insurance when you need it most.

Unconditional Love of a Parent - Breaking The Chains of Poverty

Remember your Children are not your Retirement Fund.
Be Financially Independent.. Do not RELY on your children.

Plan for your future and retirement and only have children that you can afford.

Your Children will help you if they really want to (unconditionally).
Do not pressure or give an obligation to your children a responsibility that you yourself are not able to establish.

Let your children have the life that they deserve and do not expect anything in return.

While our children can help us, it should be done voluntarily and not as an obligation. By then, our children will have their own families to look after. We owe it to ourselves to maintain our DIGNITY despite sickness and old age.

Remember
As children, you do it out of gratitude not obligation...
As parents, you receive with gratitude rather than entitlement...

Stop the cycle. Stop this toxic Filipino culture.

As Elon Musk said: “My children didn’t choose to be born, I chose to have children. They owe me nothing, I owe them everything.”

Scenario. Just imagine.

A loved one got ill, now in the hospital, about to get the different lab test & medication.

Advice: Don't get overwhelmed by the situation. Don't let the worries sink in.
