Have you ever been questioned about a decision you made? Yung tipong, โSayang naman, licensed teacher ka na, may Masterโs ka pa.โ ๐ค
Iโve heard that before. Madaming beses. And gets ko naman where theyโre coming from. But one thing Iโve realized is that choosing a different path doesnโt necessarily mean leaving everything behind.
When the opportunity to become a Financial Advisor came, hindi ko naman alam exactly kung saan ako dadalhin nito. But I knew the Lord wasnโt opening this door for nothing.
I remember praying for direction, asking Him how I could use my time more intentionally for the things that truly matter to me. And when this opportunity came, parang slowly, I started to see that maybe this was part of His answer. May pinapakita Siyang bagong path for me, even if I couldnโt see the whole picture yet.
So I decided to take the leap, trust God, and see where it would lead.
What surprised me is that even after taking a different path, dala ko pa rin pala yung pagiging teacher ko. I still get to teach today, pero hindi na lang sa apat na sulok ng classroom. Through conversations with clients and families, whether face-to-face or online, I still get to explain, listen, guide, and share what I know.
Looking back, I realized na hindi lang pala career yung nagbago. This journey also changed the way I see time, work, and what really matters in life.
Mas na-appreciate ko ngayon kung gaano ka-limited yung oras at energy natin. We donโt really know what tomorrow will look like, and once a moment passes, hindi na natin siya mababalik.
Kaya mas intentional na ako ngayon sa kung saan ko nilalagay yung oras at energy koโsa family, sa serving, sa growth, at sa mga taong gusto kong makasama habang may pagkakataon.
And Iโm grateful na sa work na meron ako ngayon, hindi ko kailangang mamili between doing meaningful work and having time for a meaningful life. I still get to meet people, hear their stories, and help families prepare for their future, while having the freedom to be present for the things that matter most to me.
Three years later, marami pa rin akong kailangang matutunan. Hindi naman naging perfect or easy yung journey, but Iโm grateful I took the chance and obeyed God with it. ๐
And looking back, hindi ko masasabi na โsayangโ yung path na pinanggalingan ko. A lot of what I learned there is still part of what I do today. Nag-iba lang yung way I get to use it, and the kind of life I get to build around it.
If youโre in a season na may opportunity in front of you pero hindi mo pa alam kung para saโyo ba talaga, you donโt have to figure everything out right away. Pray about it, ask for wisdom, and be open to where God might be leading you.
Sometimes, one act of obedience can open a completely different season of your life. ๐
And if becoming a Financial Advisor is something youโre considering or kahit curious ka lang about what this path really looks like, message me! Iโd be happy to share what Iโve learned from the experience, both the good and the challenging parts. ๐๐ฌ
