The Republic of Korea is eyeing to establish a business network in Mindanao in order to bring big-ticket investments in the region, according to the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA).
Deputy Executive Director Assistant Secretary Romeo Montenegro said during the Wednesdays at Habi at Kape press conference on April 20 that the business network will focus on partnerships in the private sectors between Korea and Mindanao.

The Republic of Korea is eyeing to establish a business network in Mindanao in order to bring big-ticket investments in the region, according to the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA).
Deputy Executive Director Assistant Secretary Romeo Montenegro said during the Wednesdays at Habi at Kape press conference on April 20 that the business network will focus on partnerships in the private sectors between Korea and Mindanao.
Korean delegates, particularly Ambassador Kim In-Chul, Korean government organizations, and private sector companies will hold an official business visit in Davao City on April 26 to assess possible areas of investment opportunities in Mindanao.
Among the industries eyed for these big investments are infrastructure, telecommunications, connectivity, energy, and agri-business. Davao City and Panabo City are areas eyed for its initial implementation.
Montenegro said if the partnership is established, it will open numerous jobs for Dabawenyos and Mindanawons, and expand the already existing partnership projects in Mindanao between the government and Korea such as the Korea-Philippines Vocational Training Center, Laguindingan Airport, and Panguil Bay Bridge.
