🌍 Today, we stand for the Earth and for every life that depends on it.

Happy World Environment Day, June 5, 2026! 🌿

At Oro Integrated Cooperative, we believe that caring for our planet goes hand in hand with caring for our communities. As one OIC family, our members and staff have come together through meaningful environmental activities; from coastal clean-up drives to community-led efforts that protect the natural resources surrounding us.

Every piece of waste collected, every tree standing taller, every shore kept clean - these are testaments to what we can achieve when we move as one. 🀝

This is more than a celebration. This is a commitment.
The climate crisis calls for action; not tomorrow, not someday, but NOW. As a cooperative rooted in the values of unity, shared ownership, and service, OIC takes this responsibility seriously - for our members, and for the generations who will inherit this Earth. Because a cooperative that uplifts lives must also protect the world those lives depend on. πŸ’š

Together, let us grow in prosperity, in purpose, and in love for our planet.

Investing in Education, Empowering the Future

As part of its continuing commitment to community development and youth empowerment, Oro Integrated Cooperative formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement and turned over 500 monobloc chairs to Gusa Regional Science High School yesterday.

Present during the ceremony were OIC CEO Floriano Hilot, Chairperson Raul Pregon, and CSR Head Joie Saquilayan, who reaffirmed the Cooperative’s dedication to supporting educational institutions and creating better learning environments for students.

This initiative forms part of OIC’s participation in Brigada Eskwela 2026 and reflects our enduring advocacy of nurturing the youth through meaningful programs and opportunities, including the Youth Savers Club. By helping provide essential resources for schools, OIC hopes to contribute to the academic growth, comfort, and success of learners as they pursue their dreams.

At OIC, we believe that investing in education is investing in a brighter future. Every chair represents not only a place to learn, but also a reminder that communities can achieve more when they work together. Through partnerships like these, we continue to support young people in their educational journey, because empowering the next generation is another step toward .

"It takes a village to raise a child and it takes an entire community to build a better school."

🏫 Bayanihan in Action: Building Better Schools Together 🏫

Today, Oro Integrated Cooperative, through its Community and Social Relations (CSR) arm, the OIC Ginintuang Puso Program, proudly joined the Regional Kick-Off of the Brigada Eskwela 2026 for Region X at Balubal Elementary School, Cagayan de Oro City, embracing this year's theme:

"Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa Para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman."

The event brought together government leaders, educators, community partners, and volunteers in a powerful demonstration of unity and shared responsibility for education. We were honored to participate alongside distinguished guests and speakers including Department of Education Undersecretary Atty. Gerard L. Chan, keynote speaker and champion of public-private partnerships in education; Hon. Rolando A. Uy, City Mayor of Cagayan de Oro represented by City Adminsitrator Atty. Roy Raagas ; Ruth L. Fuentes, CESO III, Regional Director of DepEd Region X; Hon. Paolo Niccolo Gaane and Hon. Gigi Go, City Councilors; and other education leaders, local officials, and development partners who continue to strengthen support for our schools.

Representing OIC during this meaningful occasion were Chairperson Raul Pregon, CEO Floriano Hilot, and Community and Social Relations Head Joie Saquilayan, reaffirming the cooperative's commitment to helping create safe, conducive, and inspiring learning environments for Filipino learners.

For OIC, Brigada Eskwela is more than a volunteer activity; it is one of the flagship programs of the OIC Ginintuang Puso, reflecting our belief that education is one of the most powerful investments a community can make. While OIC is known for delivering quality financial services, our mission extends far beyond finance. We remain steadfast in improving the quality of life of our members and communities, especially our schools where future leaders, professionals, and nation-builders are nurtured.

Through the years, OIC has demonstrated this commitment through various educational initiatives, including the construction and support of mobile classrooms in Macapaya-Camaman-an, Bugsoc, Pinagsagsagan, Kibanog, and Sto. NiΓ±o, Manolo Fortich; support for 10 Public High School Teen Centers across Cagayan de Oro City; the construction of a stage at Mabunga Elementary School in Baungon, Bukidnon; Brigada Eskwela assistance to 48 schools across Visayas and Mindanao branches; educational support for schools throughout Northern Mindanao; and many other projects that continue to enhance learning opportunities for young Filipinos.

These initiatives embody the true spirit of cooperativism - people helping people, communities helping communities, and organizations working together for a common good.

As we join hands with DepEd, local government units, private partners, and fellow volunteers, we continue to invest in education because stronger schools build stronger communities, and stronger communities create a brighter future for all.

Together, we move forward on the path to .
