Businesses to keep momentum in Year of Wooden Sheep

“There will be strong movement in housing and property sector and with this movement, a tougher competition can be expected. The year of the Wooden Sheep would bring in many competitors in the scene. So those, real estate-related firms that aren’t in the organization, network and system will have difficulty in competing this year and onwards,” said Edgar-Elizabeth Hao

5 steps guide to help you make the home vs. condo decision before you move.

lets talk about it: 09156476670

Should You Buy a House or a Condo?

If you’re moving to a new city, you’ll likely face a critical decision: Should your new home be a single-family house or a condo? With rates on average mortgage loans trending near all-time lows, this is certainly the time to buy any property.

Here’s a handy, five-step guide to help you make the home vs. condo decision before you move:

1. Location: First and foremost, you must decide where you want to live. From there, find out about the condo and single-family house options in the area. If you want to be in the heart of the city, condos will be more prevalent. However, for the same price, you could potentially find a single-family home just a short commute away.

2. Privacy: Think about how much privacy you would like. Having complete privacy is possible in a single-family house, while condo living means neighbors will be quite close. Condos may not offer private outdoor space.

3. Responsibility: When it comes to decisions affecting your home, do you feel comfortable involving neighbors? Many condo communities have strict rules about everything from paint choices to the hours when you can take out your trash cans. Single-family home communities tend to be more lenient, unless the community has a home owners’ association (HOA).

4. Maintenance: Many condos include maintenance fees that cover landscaping and even exterior maintenance on the unit. With a home, the home owner will have to take care of any maintenance. Many HOA communities do take care of exteriors, but specifics vary from neighborhood to neighborhood.

5. Budget: How much do you want to spend on the property? Condos are usually more affordable than a house, even with the housing market in flux. Give this point considerable thought. The last thing you want is to overextend financially.

Construction buzz in 2015

So what’s in store for Cagayan de Oro next year? Here are some projects we should be watching for.

1. AYALA LAND’S BELLA VITA AND AMAIA SCAPES

Although no official announcement has been made, local real estate agents are already entertaining inquiries on Ayala Land’s two residential development projects in the city: Bella Vita in Indahag, and Amaia Scapes in Bulua. Bella Vita is a socialized housing project while Amaia is an economic housing undertaking.

2. CEBU LANDMASTERS, INC. 3-TOWER CONDO COMPLEX

Cebu Landmasters Inc. is set to develop a three tower condominium complex in the city’s commercial district.

3. PRIMAVERA CITY

Italpinas is pursuing its next big project in the city.

4. 12-STOREY HOTEL (PLANNED)

A new mid-rise hotel is being planned in the downtown area. It is currently negotiating for financial closure.

5. JR BORJA BRIDGE OPENING

This is a given. Every one is optimistic this will help ease the traffic in the downtown.

6. SM CDO 2 FULL BLAST CONSTRUCTION

We may see full blast construction inside the property.

7. LIMKETKAI CENTER DEVELOPMENTS

More developments are in the pipeline….in the southern part. Also, an all new cinema experience will open.

8. CENTRIO TOWER SURPASSING LIMKETKAI LUXE

At the rate, Centrio Tower could be city’s tallest building late next year.

9. 3-TOWER CONDO COMPLEX IN KAUSWAGAN (PLANNED)

This is a long rumor. It will rise near a school.

10. RAFTHON
