Before, many LGBT couples spent years building a life together without having the same legal protections that others often take for granted.
Imagine this.
You've been with your partner for 10 years.
Siya ang kasama mo sa lahat.
- Siya ang sumalo sa'yo nung nawalan ka ng trabaho.
- Siya ang kasama mong mag-ipon para sa future.
- Siya ang unang tumatakbo kapag may emergency.
In every way that matters, pamilya mo siya.
But when it comes to financial planning, many people still assume that insurance is only for traditional families.
The reality?
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻.
And for many members of the LGBT community, that's more than a financial decision.
It's a way of saying:
"No matter what happens to me, I want the person I love to be protected."
Because insurance isn't really about death.
It's about love with a plan.
It's about making sure that the person who shares your dreams, your bills, your struggles, and your victories won't be left carrying the entire burden alone.
This Pride Month, while we're celebrating visibility, acceptance, and equality, let's also talk about something less visible but equally important:
Financial protection.
Because building a future together doesn't stop at posting couple photos, planning trips, or sharing a home.
It also means protecting each other from life's uncertainties.
Love is love.
And love deserves a plan.
