Effective March 16, 2026, and pursuant to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Circular No. 1230 – Risk-Based Recalibration of EDD Threshold for Large Value

Cash Transactions, the following shall apply:

Over-the-Counter (OTC) cash withdrawals and payouts has been increased from ₱500,000 to ₱1,000,000 per single transaction or series of transactions within one banking day.

Transactions exceeding this limit will require the submission of supporting documents. This measure is in line with BSP’s directive to strengthen safeguards against money laundering and to promote safer banking transactions.
