Ngayong linggo, mula ika-6 hanggang ikaw-10 ng Nobyembre, ay ipinagdiriwang ang Economic and Financial Literacy (EFL) Week alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 10922. ⚖️

Inaanyayahan ang lahat ng national government agencies, local government units, government-owned and -controlled corporations, private sector, at mga indibidwal na makibahagi sa pagdiriwang ng !

Ang tema ng EFL Week ngayong taon ay, “Bayanihanomics: Sama-samang Pakikilahok para sa Matibay na Ekonomiya.” Ito ay mula sa pinagsamang salita na "bayanihan" at "economics" at naglalayong bigyan ng importansiya ang papel ng bawat isa sa atin na makibahagi sa pagpapatibay ng ekonomiya at pagpapaunlad ng bansa.

HOW MY CREDIT CARD HELPED ME ACQUIRE MY NEW 2BR CONDO

Just moved into our new property this month. Simpleng 2-BR condo sa Makati.

Salamat sa aking credit cards because they have prepared me for big opportunities like this.

What have credit cards taught me:

🌟BE DECISIVE WITH OPPORTUNITIES
Recently nagshare ako how I purchased my dream lot a few years back sa tulong ng credit to cash promos with my credit card. Now, may bagong opportunity.

I have been looking for a bigger place for our growing family. Nakita ko yung property na ito online. Sobrang discounted. Kung may PASALO, ito PALUGI, way below the original contract price from before the pandemic. Nagmamadali yung seller.

While I did not use credit card financing this time (I used a home loan), my experience with my credit card in the past had prepared me for this moment.
Using affordable debt, I am confident that I can take advantage of opportunities in the market.

Hindi masama ang utang. Most businesses gumagamit ng financing. Pero, like any good business, just remember to use it wisely.

🌟MANAGE DEBT PROPERLY
10 years ago, nag-start ako with PHP50K in credit limit. Naging six digits, seven digits… I am proud to say that I only missed my payments once – on the 2nd month of using my first ever card.

Whether 50K or 10M, same ang prinsipyo diyan – pay your debts on time, don’t use them on vices, and plan your debt wisely.

Taking care of your debts early on life will protect your credit score and give you access to higher and more affordable financing.

Kung nalubog ako sa utang with my CC, do you think I would have gotten the home loan? Hindi siguro.

Whoever can be trusted with small things, can also be trusted with big things. Whoever is dishonest in little things will be dishonest in big things too.

🌟ENJOY LIFE
Di ko pinopost dito pero kumakain din kami sa labas. Kapag may 50% off sa Peking Garden or Friday’s, ginagamit namin yung credit card to celebrate.
I also travel and instead of carrying so much cash around, I can conveniently swipe my credit card.

Napakastrict ako sa pera dati but I have learnt to loosen up and enjoy life.
Tamang balance lang. After all, you only live once.

A client was insured by one of our Financial Planner| Leader Jane Carlos. The client was a loving father and son who passed away last September 13,2022 leaving his 10 y.o son behind.

WHY DON'T WE INVEST?

The most obvious reason for most of us is the lack of spare cash - given that our income is just enough for our daily NEEDS, which makes investing impossible.

But what about those who have the means to actually invest? Those who have the spare cash? Why don't they invest? If you make more money that you need, why are you not saving and investing some of it?

More than the reasons that we don't invest, there are reasons why we SHOULD - and that is so we can BUILD and PREPARE for our future and so that we can become BLESSINGS to others.
