In line with our commitment of Effecting Change, Initiating Development and Providing Opportunities, DAMAYAN will hold another Orientation-Recruitment Meeting along with its 1st General Assembly and Action Planning on December 28, 2017 in Maruyog Farms and Garden Resort.

Membership is open to all youths (14 y.o. and above) and young professionals from Brooke's Point and Southern Palawan, and the volunteer corps to anyone from anywhere!

We would like to share to you an important study that has been done on the medicinal traditions of the Pala'Wan ethnic minorities in Brooke's Point and Bataraza in Southern Palawan. This study was conducted by a Brooke's Pointer, Mr. Jy Villapa.

DAMAYAN believes that it is our moral obligation to help the Indigenous Peoples preserve their traditions as part of our national identity as a country. DAMAYAN supports all efforts geared towards this goal.

In the coming months, we will be launching programs and projects that will help empower communities and preserve ethnic traditions, our traditions as a People.

DAMAYAN believes that the participation of the youth is important in effecting positive changes and initiating societal developments. In line with our goals “Effecting Changes, Initiating Development, Providing Opportunities”, we are offering a platform for the progressive and concerned young people to be involved in socially relevant programs, making them productive members of the society.

Through our Youth Development and Empowerment initiatives, we hope to help them develop leadership skills and social awareness to become role models to their fellow youths.

Highest salute to our dedicated and hardworking teachers, especially those working and serving in Indigenous Peoples' communities in the mountains, islands and countryside.
