The SMTCDC was organized in November 1969 as a Church-based Credit Union Cooperative which has its main objective the creation of wealth thru a system of allowing people to help themselves. Fifty two years ago, Credit Union Cooperative was more of a theory rather than a “practice”. Martin of Tours Parish of Bocaue, without any knowledge on Credit Cooperatives, contributed the amount of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY PESOS as an initial capitalization. Millionaire Cooperatives were unheard of during those days. There were good Seminar speakers then but were more of a theoretician rather than one whom can emulate or relate in a practical way. The growth and development of SMTCDC can be likened to that of a toddler who learns to walk unaided and develops bumps and bruises in the process. It was on its own – no government aid nor did it sought assistance from any institution. Its first ten years was a “learning curve”. Its style of governance of TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY were developed early during these years. Ten years into its existence, from a one-room dark and dreary office, a modest two-storey office was built on a rented lot owned by the Parish. This office building was constructed from its own savings. Its credibility is now fully recognized and ascertained. Thereafter, SMTCDC was propelled to new heights of achievements. Membership grew by leap and bounds. Assets remarkably improved to the satisfaction of members who benefited from the availability of money for their PRODUCTIVE and PROVIDENTIAL LOANS. The Sincerity, Dedication, Passionate love for the Cooperative movement by well choosen Board members and educated employees played a crucial role in the growth and success of this self sustaining and self reliant Coop.

Ngayong Nobyembre 2, 2026, buong pagmamahal nating inaalala at ipinapanalangin ang ating mga yumaong mahal sa buhay.

Bagama't hindi na natin sila kapiling, mananatili sa ating puso ang kanilang mga alaala, pagmamahal, at mga aral na iniwan nila sa ating buhay.

Nawa'y maging daan ang ating mga panalangin upang maipahayag ang ating pagmamahal at pag-alala sa kanila.

Hindi man natin sila muling mayakap, mananatili silang buhay sa ating mga puso at alaala.

Building Awareness Today, Shaping a More Inclusive Tomorrow!

St. Martin Coop welcomed students from Bulacan State University (BSU) – Entrepreneurship Program for an educational visit to the GAD Advocacy & Learning Library, where they gained insights into Gender and Development (GAD), gender equality, and the importance of promoting a safe and inclusive community.

The discussion highlighted important laws and advocacies, including the Bawal Bastos Law (Safe Spaces Act), Magna Carta of Women, and VAWC Act, emphasizing the importance of respect, protection, and awareness of women's rights.

The visit also marked the beginning of their journey with St. Martin Coop as they started building their savings and learning the value of cooperative membership.

Through these initiatives, St. Martin Coop continued to spread its advocacy, empowering the younger generation to become more informed, responsible, and active advocates for positive change.

SHARING STORIES, EXPERIENCES, AND THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP!

Noong Oktubre 3, 2026, nagsagawa ang St. Martin Coop ng Livelihood Training on Baking and Pastry Making, na dinaluhan ng 22 miyembro (21 kababaihan at 1 lalaki).

Natutunan ng mga kalahok ang paggawa ng Brownies, Banana Cupcakes, at Chocolate Crinkle Cookies, pati na rin ang mga pangunahing kaalaman sa maliit na negosyo.

Sa pamamagitan ng ganitong programa, naibabahagi ng St. Martin Coop ang kaalaman, karanasan, at oportunidad na makatutulong sa pag-unlad ng kabuhayan ng ating mga miyembro.

Nakiisa ang St. Martin Coop, kasama ang mga kooperatibang kabilang sa Municipal Cooperative Development Council (MCDC) of Bocaue, Bulacan, bilang kinatawan ng lalawigan ng Bulacan sa 13th Regional Kooplympics, na ginanap noong October 24, 2026, sa Bataan People’s Center, bilang pagpapakita ng pagkakaisa, pagtutulungan, at sama-samang pangangalaga sa kalikasan tungo sa mas maunlad at luntiang pamayanan.
