The Burgos La Union Employees Credit Cooperative (BLUECC) successfully held its Year-End Special Assembly and Cooperative Celebration on December 4, 2025 at the Municipal Auditorium, Burgos, La Union. The event gathered 47 active members, marking a strong and engaged turnout.

The program commenced with the Preliminaries, beginning with the singing of the national anthem followed by a solemn prayer led by Ms. Florina P. Delos Reyes. This was immediately followed by the heartfelt recital of the “Sapata Ti Kooperatiba”, led by Ms. Beverlyn C. Lubid, reaffirming the members’ commitment to the cooperative’s values and principles.

To formally open the assembly, Mr. Rico P. Panta, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, delivered his welcome and opening remarks. In his message, he expressed appreciation for the continued support and participation of the members and highlighted the cooperative’s achievements, challenges, and direction moving forward.

A key part of the assembly was the presentation and reading of the proposed amendments to the BLUECC articles of cooperation and bylaws. Members were given the opportunity to be heard, review, and discuss the said proposal geared towards strengthening the cooperative’s operations and governance.

Following the formal proceedings, the celebration continued with an engaging and enjoyable program. Members actively participated in various raffle draws, interactive games, and fellowship activities, fostering camaraderie and reinforcing the spirit of cooperation within the organization.

The event concluded on a positive note, reflecting the cooperative’s commitment to transparency, member empowerment, and a unified vision for the coming year.

The Burgos La Union Employees Credit Cooperative (BLUECC) generously distributed tumblers, pad papers, pencils, and ballpens to the learners of Upper Tumapoc Elementary School—from Kindergarten to Grade 6—with a total of 154 beneficiaries. This initiative forms part of the cooperative’s ongoing outreach and educational support program, which aims to promote learning readiness and provide students with essential tools that can enhance their academic performance.

The activity served not only as a donation event but also as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen partnerships between the cooperative and the school community. The students enthusiastically received their school supplies, and teachers expressed that such support significantly helps in sustaining learners' engagement and motivation in the classroom.

The event was attended by key cooperative officials, including Mr. Rico P. Panta, BOD Chairperson; Ms. Florina P. Delos Reyes, BOD Vice Chairperson and Committee Chairperson on Education;Ms. Marilyn G. Abansi , Cooperative Manager; Mr. Richard A. Rimando, Cooperative Secretary; Ms. Andrea Guay, Credit Committee Chairperson; and Ms. Maryann Opig, Audit Committee Chairperson. Their participation demonstrated BLUECC’s strong commitment to community involvement, social responsibility, and youth development. They also took time to interact with the learners and teachers, emphasizing the cooperative’s mission to uplift communities through meaningful programs and partnerships.

The school community expressed heartfelt gratitude for this generous initiative, recognizing BLUECC as an active partner in nurturing the learners’ growth and educational journey.

Today, November 18, 2025, the BLUECC Board of Directors extended financial and material assistance to two beneficiaries under the Cooperative’s Social Development Program for 2025.

Ms. Norma Bambico of Barangay Agpay received ₱2,000.00 to support the growth of her small enterprise producing cassava chips. The assistance is intended to help her increase production, improve product quality, and further strengthen the sustainability of her livelihood.

In addition, Mr. Leonard Dongael of Barangay Bilis was granted beekeeping supplies essential for the operations of the Beginners Bee Club Association. The provision of these materials aims to enhance their beekeeping activities, boost productivity, and contribute to the long-term development of their honeybee enterprise.

Through initiatives like these, the Cooperative reaffirms its commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs, fostering livelihood development, and providing both financial and technical support to uplift communities.

Ms. Constancia A. De Guzman, Designated Provincial Coop Devt Specialist was the guest speaker and a total of 35 members attended of the said event.

Burgos La Union Employees Credit Cooperative (BLUECC) Board of Directors and Members meeting for the 28th Annual General Assembly on July 07, 2023 held at the SB Session Hall, Legislative Building , Burgos, La Union.

The Assembly was ordered by Chairperson Rico A. Panta and followed by a welcome message from the Vice Chairperson, Engr. Ferdinand G. Ramos. Honorable Mayor Delfin C. Comedis, Jr greeted and gave an Inspirational Speech to the BLUECC and it's members.

All the committes presented their reports. Ms. Lorna Atting elected as new member of the Board of Directors.

A total of 37 members attended the said General Assembly.
