๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ | The Development Communicatorsโ€™ Society (DeCSo) held its 1st General Assembly on September 21 at the DDC HyFlex Room, gathering Development Communication students interested in becoming members of the organization.

The assembly featured presentations on the organization's previous accomplishments and activities, followed by discussions on the purpose and management of the DeCSo Lounge, financial report, and the reading of the Constitution and By-Laws (CBL).

It also included the induction of the newly elected DeCSo officers, membership updates, and the organization's plans for the rest of the semester.

This gathering marked the beginning of another chapter for DeCSo as it welcomes new members, strengthens its community, and sets shared goals for the academic year.

๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ | As one of the collaborating organizations in this year's International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) at Visayas State University, the Development Communicators' Society (DeCSo) took part in the initiative today, September 19, at the VSU Beach, joining fellow organizations and volunteers in keeping our coastlines clean and cared for.

The program began early in the morning, followed by the deployment of volunteers to their assigned stations. After the clean-up, volunteers took part in a comprehensive waste assessment and brand audit process to properly identify and segregate the collected waste.

For DeCSo, being part of the ICC is more than just an annual participation, it is another opportunity for us to put communication into action, work with the community, and contribute to an initiative that reminds us that caring for our environment is a shared responsibility.
