Evidence of Success of the Savings Program particularly in Brgy. Panugmunon, Basey, Samar. Matagal na na walang direct supervision ng mga dating staff na ng organized, but fruit of labor is real. Operational parin ang mga ito kahit ang magaling na staff na naging instrumento na ma organized itong grupo, ate Vilma Gacutan, ay nasa piling na ni LORD, pero ang grupo ay patuloy paring tinatangkilik ang programa. Maraming salamat sa SG Volunteer natin, Ms. Janet Achuela, sa iyong bukal na kalooban na i assist ang grupo kahit wala na tayo sa institusyong kinabilangan natin.

Sa mga nais mgpatulong sa pag organize ng bagong grupo, sa pay-out calculation, pagsasaayos ng mga policy, o anumang mga issue na dapat mas maliwagan ninyo, 'wag mag atubili na i message ako. You can share also your thoughts about the program. Salamat

An Evidence of Success of Life Changing Program, the SAVINGS PROGRAM OF FOOD FOR THE HUINGRY PHILIPPINES

In 2016, Editha joined a savings group which Food for the Hungry Philippines (FHBO) helped establish in Leyte. Since then, she has attended FHBO-initiated activities such as values formation, livelihood trainings, and other capacity building seminars.

"I was able to save [and this] helps my family pay for school fees and medicine whenever a member of the family gets sick," she shared.

She also learned how to properly care for a home garden which now has a variety of vegetables. "I was able to learn new things and new techniques in gardening. FHBO taught us practical ways of crop management, watering, etc." Now, Editha said that aside from providing nutritious food to her family, the garden is also an alternative source of income.

"[With] each harvest, I was able to save approximately Php 175 or 3 USD per meal. I was also able to pay for my child's transportation to school, other school fees, and snacks from the sale of my garden's produce."
