BISA NG REHISTRO NG LAHAT NG MGA BAGONG MOTORSIKLO, MAGIGING TATLONG TAON NA! - LTO

INIUTOS ni Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Jayart Tugade ang pagpapatupad ng tatlong taong bisa o validity ng rehistro ng lahat ng mga bagong motorsiklo sa bansa.

Batay sa kasalukuyang panuntunan na alinsunod sa Republic Act 4136 at Republic Act 11032, ang mga motorsiklong may makina o engine displacement na 201cc pataas lamang ang mayruong tatlong taong bisa ng initial registration sa Land Transportation Office (LTO).

Gayunman, kasunod ng ginawang pag-aaral ng ahensya ay nagdesisyon si LTO Chief Tugade na gawin na ring tatlong-taong bisa ng rehistro kahit sa mga motorsiklong may makina na 200cc pababa.

"It is hereby directed that initial registration of brand new motorcycles with engine displacement of 200cc and below shall be valid for three (3) years," saad ng Memorandum Circular No. JMT-2023-2395.

"It is understood that the MVUC to be collected during the initial registration shall likewise be adjusted to cover the corresponding registration validity period," ayon pa sa Memorandum.

Bahagi pa rin ito ng mga hakbang ng LTO na layong maging mabilis ang mga proseso at mapagaan ang mga transaksyon ng publiko sa ahensya.

"Hindi natin nakikita na magkakaroon ng problema sa roadworthiness ng mga motorsiklong may tatlong taong rehistro dahil ang mga ito naman ay bagong sasakyan," pahayag ni LTO Chief Tugade.

"Naniniwala kami sa LTO na ang hakbang na ito ay makakatulong sa maraming drayber na nagpapa-rehistro ng bagong motorsiklo para magamit sa kanilang hanapbuhay o trabaho," dagdag pa ng opisyal.

Kung pagbabatayan ang mga nakalipas na datos ng LTO, tinatayang dalawang milyon na bagong magpaparehistro ng motorsiklo na 200cc pababa ang makikinabang sa bagong polisiya na ito ngayong taon.

"Patunay ito na nakikinig ang inyong LTO sa mga suhestiyon ng publiko na direktang nakikipagtransaksyon sa ahensya. Magpapatuloy po ang mga pag-aaral sa mga umiiral na polisiya at panuntunan at kung kailangang baguhin tungo sa ikagaganda ng sistema ay handa po kaming gawin ito," pagtitiyak ni LTO Chief Tugade.

Alinsunod na rin sa umiiral nang panuntunan para sa pagrehistro ng iba pang mga sasakyan, matapos ang tatlong taong bisa ng initial registration ay magiging kada taon na rin ang pagpaparehistro ng mga motorsiklong may makinang 200cc pababa.

Epektibo ang memorandum sa Mayo 15 ng kasalukuyang taon.
