There was a boy who always watched the balloon man outside the market.
Every single day.
He watched the balloon man let go of his balloons.
Red. Yellow. Green. Blue.
Up and up.
Always going up.
Then one day the boy got curious.
"What about the black one?"
He walked up to the balloon man.
A little nervous.
But he asked anyway.
"Kuya, if you let go of the black balloon, will it fly too?"
The balloon man stopped.
Looked at the boy.
Smiled.
Then he said something that boy never forgot for the rest of his life.
"Son, it's not the color that makes the balloon fly.
It's what's inside that takes it up."
Ano ang lesson?
Hindi ang mga superficial ang magdadala sa iyo sa itaas. Hindi ang pamilya mo. Hindi kung saan ka nag-aral. Hindi kung anong mayroon o wala ka ngayon.
Yung nasa loob mo ang tanging bagay na mahalaga.
Yung tiwala mo sa sarili mo. Yung determinasyon mo. Yung dahilan kung bakit ka nagpapatuloy kahit mahirap.
